Using Sealite’s Windtalker™ Cyprus Kitesurfers can easily identify when conditions are perfect for surfing
The Cyprus-Wind Kitesurfing Pro Center have installed a Sealite WindTalker™ on Paramali Beach in Cyprus enabling the kite school to program lessons more accurately and to save everyday kitesurfers wasted time looking for wind.
Paramali is Cyprus’ most popular kitesurfing beach and is one of the best beaches
for both beginners and intermediate kitesurfers. The beach is extremely isolated and is used almost exclusively by kite surfers.
The WindTalker™ was the perfect solution for such a remote beach allowing users to access data from the unit making sure the wind is both strong enough and coming from the right direction for kitesurfing before making the long drive out to the beach.
Sealite was able to increase the number of registered users of the WindTalker™ giving well over 40 members of the kitesurfing club access to real-time data about the status of the wind on Paramali Beach either by cell-phone (SMS message) or PC web portal interface.
“The WindTalker™ is a big success here is Cyprus thanks to your after sales support the unit is functioning perfectly.”
- Christophe Meletiou, Cyprus-Wind Kitesurfing Pro Center
Due to the success of the Paramali Beach WindTalker™, the Cyprus-Wind Kitesurfing Pro Center is hoping to raise enough finance so they are able to install WindTalkers™ on key kitesurfing beaches all over Cyprus.
